About Us

Archita de Leon comes from a military family—and proudly calls herself a “navy brat.” After living in Alaska, Washington, and in Eureka in Northern California, her family settled in San Diego. She attended San Diego State University and University of San Diego, achieving a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a minor in Economics, and a Paralegal Certificate.

She worked as a clerk in a law firm during college, and after graduating from SDSU, she went to work for an US Congressman as a caseworker, specializing in the Departments of Defense, IRS, VA, INS and Department of State. She worked with district constituents to resolve issues they were facing and research on legislative matters in those departments. Archita also has worked for a San Diego City Councilman, a paralegal for a transcription service and two law firms. As a navy spouse, she lived in Rhode Island, Virginia, Japan, and Maryland. Each location offered her unique employment opportunities in varied and interesting professions/areas. While in Japan she worked as an English teacher for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force at their 2nd Service School, at Yokosuka, Japan. It was there that she taught young Japanese naval officers and chiefs the nuances of American English. She also worked for one of the most prominent Real Estate Agents in Virginia, and as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Navy Sailing in Maryland.

When Archita and family moved back to San Diego, her tax preparer of over 20 years thought Archita would be a perfect fit in their tax practice and asked her to come work for them. Unfortunately, after just one year her tax mentor passed away due to cancer. Today, Archita continues to keep her promise to her mentor, by providing the highest level of service to their clients. She does not only fill in the forms with the appropriate numbers on the tax forms, but actually meets with her clients to do “tax planning.” Each client comes with their own unique backgrounds, business ventures, future education needs and retirement requirements, etc—and she takes all of this into consideration when she meets with her clients.

Archita continually educates herself on the ever changing federal and states tax laws. She is also licensed insurance producer in California and has partnered with a fiduciary to make certain that her clients’ financial and tax needs are met today and into the future.

“It not just tax preparation, but tax planning that’s important.” Archita de Leon
